Acting Governor of Banten Al Muktabar affirmed that the province is ready to support the National Police (Polri) and Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI) to maintain conduciveness ahead of the 2024 general elections.
"All elements of society in Banten are united to support Polri and TNI in the efforts to succeed the implementation of the upcoming festival of democracy," Muktabar stated after attending the 77th anniversary of Polri at the West Square, Serang City on Saturday.
He noted that the province had been enjoying a sound level of conduciveness and stability owing to the efforts made by the security apparatus, including the Police.
"We can see that Polri, as one of the national pillars, has been carrying out its functions and duties properly," he remarked.
Muktabar also expressed hope that the police would continue to foster unity and a sense of togetherness with all elements of society in Banten.

Meanwhile, Head of the Public Relations Division at the Banten Regional Police Grand Commissioner Didik Hariyanto said that the anniversary ceremony held at West Square served as the culmination of Polri's anniversary commemoration.
This year, Polri adopted the theme of "Precision Police for a Peaceful Elections Country towards Advanced Indonesia" for its anniversary commemoration.
"The adoption of this theme is related to the fact that we are currently going towards an election year in 2024. We hope that we can work in synergy with all elements of society to exert all-out efforts to ensure that the election goes smoothly," he remarked.
He then revealed that the regional police had prepared various strategies to anticipate likely threats to security during the implementation of elections in the province.
Furthermore, Hariyanto extended gratitude to the public's support and appreciation to Polri. He also expressed hope that the police would be able to continue to provide its finest services to the public to meet expectations of the nation.
