General Elections Commission (KPU) member, Idham Holik, stated that three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates would sign an integrity pact as a commitment to realizing a peaceful 2024 General Election.

"Yes, they will sign the integrity pact," Holik told ANTARA on Monday.

He remarked that for the 2024 Peaceful Election Declaration, KPU Chairman Hasyim Asy'ari will remind all election participants to maintain conducive situation and security during the 2024 Election.

"KPU Chairman Hasyim Asy'ari will convey a message for a peaceful, safe, and conducive election," he stated.

He noted that the declaration activity will be attended by three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates, the general chairs of political parties participating in the 2024 Election, and representatives of candidates of the Regional Representative Council (DPD).

"We also invited political party leaders, presidential and vice presidential candidates, and DPD member candidates," Holik stated.

Earlier, the KPU changed the location of the Peaceful Election Declaration, which was initially held at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) in Jakarta on Monday, to the KPU Office.

"We moved the location due to several considerations. It will take place on Monday (November 27) according to our capacity," one of the KPU members, Afifuddin, stated in Jakarta on November 25.

On November 13, the KPU officiated three pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates to participate in the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Election.

The results of the drawing for the official number stated that the pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar will have an official number 1 followed by the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair, with official number two, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD, with official number 3.

The KPU has also set a campaign period from November 28, 2023, to February 10, 2024. The voting is scheduled for February 14, 2023.
