Indonesian Vice President (VP) Ma'ruf Amin reminded all state officials to always maintain neutrality in the 2024 General Election.
The vice president conveyed this in front of the media during a working visit to East Kalimantan, Tuesday, according to information received here.
"We invite all officials involved in the election to act according to the rules, be neutral, and not to take sides with anyone. (Also for all parties), from regional governments to lower level officials, security elements, election organizers, and supervisors to work well," the vice president further noted.
Meanwhile, the vice president also reminded presidential and vice presidential candidates, who have registered along with their supporting political parties and supporters, to not violate applicable regulations.
"Then, the contestants and volunteers (are also advised) to not act beyond their limits," the vice president remarked.
He said if all parties are able to commit to acting according to existing rules, then the 2024 election will run smoothly without any fraud.
"If everything goes according to the rules, I think (the election) will be honest and fair. Supervisors (are also expected) to be more firm and (act) quickly to provide warnings to anyone, who commits violations. I invite everyone to comply with the agreed rules," the vice president stated.
