Widodo-Amin pair leads in provisional KPU vote tally

The provisional vote count of the 2019 presidential election uploaded by the General Election Commission (KPU) revealed that the Joko Widodo - Ma'ruf Amin (Jokowi-Ma'ruf) pair still outperformed the Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno (Prabowo-Sandi) pair.

Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin obtained 55.81 percent or 25,360,671 votes, while Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno managed 44.19 percent or 20,079,906 votes, according to the Vote Counting Information System until Wednesday, 5.30 pm (local time).

The temporary vote count is calculated on the basis of incoming C1 forms from 241,715 polling stations out of a total of 813,350 throughout Indonesia and abroad.

The voting coverage of polling stations that has been recapitulated by the KPU has reached 29.71 percent of the total polling stations that exist.

The KPU has been conducting the vote count continuously since 18 April, 2019, and these can be accessed publicly with mobile phones, through the KPU.go.id website or on the 2019 Election Results channel.

The vote count is expected to be completed by 22 May, 2019.
